How page points work
Text PDFs use Cloudflare document conversion and cost one point per completed page. Scanned PDFs and photos require Moondream vision OCR and cost four points per completed page.
Failed conversions cost zero points. Word to Markdown remains browser-local and costs zero points because the .docx never enters the cloud conversion path.
The $12 pack adds 500 permanent points. Pro adds 1,000 points each month and rolls unused points forward up to a 2,000-point balance.

Privacy is not a paid tier here
The processing boundary is the same for permanent points and Pro. Paying more does not silently switch a file into a different retention or locality policy; the privacy page is the shared source of truth for every purchase option.
This product should be equally specific: a text PDF is uploaded to Cloudflare for document conversion; scanned PDF page images and image-camera copies are sent to Moondream 3.1; a Word .docx stays in your browser. The app does not present remote PDF processing as local.
Local analysis still matters because it provides the preview, source geometry, and routing decision before cloud processing. It is not a claim that PDF content never leaves your device.

Pricing questions
Do I need to pay before converting a PDF?
Yes. Cloud PDF, scanned-page OCR, and image recognition require either a positive point balance or an active Pro subscription. Browser-local Word conversion remains available at zero points.
What is one page point?
One completed text-PDF page costs one point. A completed OCR or image page costs four points. A failed conversion costs zero points.
How do I know whether my document needs OCR?
Try to select a sentence in a PDF reader. If the highlight follows the words, the PDF can use Cloudflare's text conversion path. If your cursor selects nothing, the browser will route the rendered pages to Moondream OCR.
What happens to unused Pro points?
Unused Pro points roll forward up to a maximum balance of 2,000 points. Each successful renewal adds another 1,000 points.
Do one-time points expire?
No. The 500 points in the one-time pack remain available until you use them.
Can I cancel Pro?
Yes. You can cancel at any time; your subscription access follows the period shown during Waffo checkout.
